General Rental Terms – Handover and Terms of Business
Age determinations
The minimum age ranges from 19 to 25 years, depending on the vehicle class. For drivers under the age of 25, an additional fee of €4.80 (vehicle groups A–E) or €9.60 (vehicle groups F–L) per day may be charged.
Rental outside opening hours
A fee of €48.00 applies to all rentals outside of business hours, on Sundays and public holidays, and between 06:00 and 08:00 and 18:00 and 20:00. A fee of €72.00 applies to all rentals between 20:00 and 06:00.
Trips abroad
Sind nur mit schriftlicher Genehmigung des Vermieters erlaubt. Der Mieter muss bei Fahrzeugübernahme Fahrten ins Ausland bekannt geben. Sollte dies nicht geschehen, ist er bei Schäden oder Verlusten des Mietfahrzeuges oder Teilen davon, für den vollen Fahrzeugwert haftbar. Bei genehmigten Fahrten nach Osteuropa (z.B. Kroatien, Slowenien, Slowakei, Tschechien) wird ein Sicherheitszuschlag von mind. € 12,00 pro Tag in Rechnung gestellt.

Booking / Cancellation
Vehicle bookings and cancellations must be made exclusively in writing via fax or email. A rental vehicle booking is considered confirmed once you receive a reservation confirmation via email or fax within three business days. Cancellations made up to six days prior to the start of the rental period are free of charge. A fee of €30.00 applies for cancellations made five days in advance, and a fee of €60.00 applies for those made two days in advance. Failure to collect the vehicle results in a charge amounting to 90% of the rental price.

Vehicle documents / Vehicle keys
The customer is responsible for the vehicle documents provided. The customer is liable for them in the event of loss. We charge a fee of €180.00 for the re-issuance of the vehicle registration certificate. If the vehicle key is lost, all vehicle locks must be replaced at the vehicle driver’s expense.
Vehicle groups
There is no entitlement to specific vehicle models, only to the reserved vehicle group. Should this not be available, you will receive a free upgrade to a higher vehicle class.
Vehicle Handover
The vehicle is handed over by the rental company washed, cleaned, and with a full tank of fuel. The renter must return it in the same condition upon the conclusion of the contract. Failure to do so will result in an additional charge to the customer in accordance with the price list. Any defects on or inside the vehicle will be recorded in the vehicle inspection report.
Airport / Train Station Fee
For rentals at airports and train stations, a service fee of 15% is charged on the rental rates.
Driver’s license
Depending on the vehicle class, the driver must have held a driving licence valid in Austria for at least 1 (3) year(s).
Tenant’s liability
In the event of damage to or loss of the rental vehicle—or parts thereof—including damage caused by fire, glass breakage, natural forces (hail, etc.), or theft, the renter is generally liable to the lessor for up to the full value of the vehicle, regardless of fault.
Limitation of Liability
The renter’s liability can be reduced by purchasing supplementary CDW and TDW insurance (liability reduction for damage and theft, respectively). Please refer to the current rate schedule for the applicable deductible per incident. TDW coverage applies only if the vehicle documents and keys are returned; otherwise, the renter is liable for the full value of the vehicle. Liability limitations do not apply in cases of unauthorized travel abroad, willful misconduct or gross negligence, or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In all cases, the renter is fully liable for damage to the vehicle’s interior, damage caused by the cargo, damage to tires and rims, and damage to the vehicle’s underbody. Luggage is not insured.
Deposit
The renter should hold a valid credit card recognized by our company. If the renter does not possess one, they have the option to provide a cash deposit (covering the rental cost, the deductible, and a full tank of fuel). This vehicle deposit will be refunded upon the return of the vehicle, provided there has been no damage to or loss of the rental vehicle.
Rental price
The rental price depends on the rental period and the distance driven. One rental day equals 24 hours. The daily rental rate applies to a 24-hour period starting from vehicle pickup; an additional day is charged if the return is delayed by more than 59 minutes.
Costs for oil, maintenance, and liability insurance (at least up to the statutory minimum coverage) are included in the rental price.
Fuel and cleaning costs are to be borne by the renter.
Prices
All prices are in euros, including 20% VAT and excluding the 1% contract fee.
Smoking
Our rental cars are non-smoking vehicles. In the event of non-compliance, a full interior cleaning will be performed and the cost of €84.00 charged to the renter.
Optional equipment
Navigation systems, child seats, snow chains, or ski racks are available with advance reservation. A security deposit is required when collecting optional equipment. You will be charged for the loss of or damage to any optional equipment.
Fuel – Refueling Service
Each vehicle is handed over to the customer with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with missing fuel, a refueling fee of €12.00 will be charged, in addition to the cost of the missing fuel.
Traffic levy and lease agreement fee
A road usage fee of €4.20 per day (up to a maximum of €63.00 per rental) is charged; this includes the Austrian motorway toll sticker.
If the total invoice amount is €150.00 or higher, a statutory rental contract tax of 1% of the gross amount applies.
Traffic violations and penalty notices
A processing fee of €15.00 will be charged for handling penalty notices, traffic violations, and driver identification inquiries processed by us.
Winter tire fee
Between October 15 and April 15, a winter tire fee of €3.60 per day is charged.
Payment terms
The rental fee can be paid on-site in cash or with a valid credit card accepted by the rental company. At the time of rental, a hold is placed on the credit card for a deposit equal to the rental rate plus the maximum deductible.
Additional driver
A fee of €4.80 is charged for each additional driver listed in the rental agreement.
Delivery / Pickup
A fee of €18.00 is charged for the delivery and collection of a vehicle within business hours and city limits. Outside of business hours and city limits, a fee of €48.00 plus €0.60 per kilometer is charged.
Insurance
Theft insurance (TDW)
By taking out theft insurance, liability in the event of vehicle loss can be reduced to the deductible specified in the rate schedule. If the renter declines theft insurance, they are responsible for the loss of the rental vehicle and liable up to the full value of the vehicle.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
Additional occupant accident insurance can be purchased for a fee of €6.00 per day.
The coverage amount is:
€30,000.00 in the event of death
€70,000.00 in the event of disability
€30.00 (max. €900.00) per occupant, per day, in hospital benefits, provided the injured person was secured by a seatbelt.
Comprehensive Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) (including theft protection)
By taking out comprehensive insurance (including theft coverage), liability in the event of damage to or loss of the vehicle can be limited to a specific deductible. If the renter declines this, they are responsible for all damage to the rental vehicle and are liable up to the full value of the vehicle. If the renter takes out comprehensive insurance, their liability is limited to the deductible.
